and the Giants are a little low.

Maybe as of today, but the G-Men will be sitting there after 3 weeks with Dedrick Ward and Jared Lorenzen running the show, don't you think?

Pretty good power rankings jsarno. I would say, however that the Panthers and Jags are a little high and the Giants are a little low.

I can definitely see your point about the Panthers...I just feel they are solid all around and a sleeper team this year.
The Jags are at 17...where would you put them? The jags have a SOLID defense, and a great running game...they just have a question at QB. They could win 9-10 this year if Garrard does ok. Of course they always seem to under achieve.
The Giants are not too low though. They just lost their starting RB, QB and DE, and got embarrassed by an overrated Cowboys offense. They will be lucky to win 1 game by week 5.

But about the rest of the picks...thanks.

The last thing we need is to move up in anybody's rankings. Frankly I hope this team gets ridiculed and overlooked by every talking head, analyst, and obese, raving sportswriter all the way through week 17. We could use the bulletin board material.

I think we would have to go at least 5 - 0 just to crack the top ten. If we beat Philly and they don't put us ahead of them next week, then we can surely say they are biased against the Redskins. Of course, if the Eagles lose to us, they may plummet into the 20s because we can't possibly be any good.

If the Eagles lose to us, then everyone will say how horrible they are that they lost to the Packers and the Skins. We won't get the credit, they will be discredited. (and of course use the McNabb injury as an excuse)

Hey, don't ever underestimate the value of a chip on your shoulder as a motivational device. Maybe Joe should have Agent Hibachi stop by and give a seminar on the value of self-destructively setting yourself up as the underdog... it could be the uniting theme of DC sports franchises!

That's good enough for me. I'm so sick of that bunch up there. Of course the run defense and Donovan's "lack of weapons" will get most of the blame even if his completion percentage is in the 40s again.

and to think wasnt the dolphins Def in the top 10 if not top 5 last year? but we run over them and get no respect for that though its like the skins beat an easy opponent.

After watching the NFC east games from this weekend, I think we all should be right around each other. All 4 teams have the talent to get good records, but I don't think Philly should be as high as they are. And there is NO WAY IN HELL dallas is the 5th best team in the NFL. They did look good, but......whatever....they suck.
