In 2002, 2003, and 2004, Renaldo Wynn led the D line in tackles. He also never made more than $2.5 million with the Skins in a given year (signing bonus excluded), so "overpaid" seems a little strong.

Renaldo also did a Q&A session with us at Redskins Warpath. That means he's contributed more to this site than you have. So insult someone else, because Renaldo is a friend, and I take that personally.

Despite all that, it was still time for Renaldo to go. His days of producing results were long gone. And Philip Daniels won't be far behind him. As fans, it's tough because we develop an attachment with guys who are here, who find a place on the roster season after season -- honestly though, when you look at it objectively, you begin to realize that most of the guys on the D-line have been squeezed dry for all they're worth. There aren't many organizations that reward "locker room leadership" the way this place does, and often they'll do it at the expense of actual performances on the field.

I don't think we will lose much of anything with Daniels out of the lineup. Let's see what Chris Wilson can do.

Exactly what I thought in regards to his elbow . Maybe Wilson will grow this year into a good pass rusher . Maybe next year AC and C. Long < UVA > are the starting DE's .

C.Long is a beast, seen him play many times.

I support the personnel decision - I dispute hurrykaine's assertion that Wynn was an "overpaid piece of $hit". I also firmly believe that Daniels is getting the start (when healthy) because he makes the most positive plays. When that changes, so will the lineup.

That's Howie's son, right?

Isn't it Howie Long's son that jumped up and picked the pass off at the line for Virginia?

Thought we should have cut Wynn, Brunnel, Daniels, Jansen, Springs and signed Dockery. I did not think that Thomas and Jansen deserved the huge contracts that they got just to restructure. They already made big money. We could have gotten buy this year without restructuring deals and next year we could have signed a receiver and corner back. But calling him the piece of sh-- is crazy.
He is good against the run and fair against the pass. At this point he is on the roster and the second best end we have.

Cut our best coverage corner and good T? What games have u been watchin?
