Coughlin is such a lame duck as it is, the FO shouldn't care. Plus, if Leftwich wants to resurrect his career he better stop being so adverse to hard work. I think this is a great chance for him. I think it's a safe bet to say Eli misses more like 8 weeks. A seperated throwing shoulder is serious.

I think more likely is that they re-sign Tim Hasselbeck. At least he knows the offense.

i wish Manning would play. he sucks, and the giants success against us was strictly a product of Tiki Barbers skills

PFT, while stressing it is a rumor, reports it could be a season ending deal. Didn't look that bad to me but who knows.

He hasn't been great. But he went into Dallas and threw for 312 and 4TDs before going down. I think the rest of the NFC East is fortunate he's gonna miss some time. To say you wish he would play over Jared Lorenzen or some other guy off the street doesn't make sense to me.

Just for the record, there are no easy wins in the NFL. I promise you, whomever the Giants line up against us it won't be a blow out.

I think even if Manning can return this season, it probably really is a season ending deal for him. That thing will never heal properly until he gets into off season and fully rehab.

I don't think Leftwich is good fit for the Giants anyway, he's looking for a long-term deal anyways.

In other news concerning the Skins: Mike Brown and Dvoracek, their start NT, are done for the year.

The whole thing about no easy wins I don't necessarily buy. The Steelers, Patriots, and Colts all absolutely waxed their opponents week 1. I don't think any of those players would publicly say they were easy wins, but come on...

True, but that's not what I'm really getting at. Even in a blow out though, the winning team usually plays an exceptionally excuted game plan or the other team gave them a ton of turnovers. You might see the Colts beat a team the way they beat the Saints one more time this year - maybe. And I'll be if they played the Saints three times within a season, you wouldn't get those results. The Colts were firing on all cylinders and the Saints were a tad bit flat and out of sync. Taking nothing from Indy though.

What I am getting at is just because these injuries are taking their toll on the Giants doesn't mean they're going to roll over for the Redskins and decided they're a last place team...and it damn sure doesn't make it a cake walk. Teams are going to have to beat the hell out of the Giants now. Any coach will tell you they are more afraid of playing these type of teams, than one that are probably a little more predictable in terms of personnel.

We should have an easier time against the Giants considering their starting quarterback, running back, and Pro Bowl defensive end are gonna be out. I don't wish injury on anyone, but we need to take advantage of this. Another big injury that could help us out next week is Lito Sheppard, he's already been declared out for the game with a sprained MCL.

Well it looks like we get the Giants without Eli, and Jacobs. Sounds good to me.
