Ok everyone thinks this is a big deal for Eli to be out but you are the same guys who says he sucks. So why does it matter? Because his back ups are really untested Jared Lorenzen and Anthony Wright.

I don't think he sucks. I think he's inconsistent and has a lot of poor habits such as throwing off his back foot. His backup weighs a metric ton and likes to eat a baby. Chile's baby back ribs, Chile's baby back ribs.

Knowing Leftwich's alleged adversity to practicing hard, and Coughlin's drill sargeant tendencies that'd be quite a combo to see.

Coughlin is such a lame duck as it is, the FO shouldn't care. Plus, if Leftwich wants to resurrect his career he better stop being so adverse to hard work. I think this is a great chance for him. I think it's a safe bet to say Eli misses more like 8 weeks. A seperated throwing shoulder is serious.

Any way you slice it, with Umenyiora out two months, Jacobs a month, and Eli at least a month, coupled with an already awful defense, we should kick the piss outta them week 3...

Yeah I agree week 3 SHOULD be an easy win, Let's just hope we beat the eagles first.

For the sake of being conservative, let us remember that it seemed like Philly was out of contention last year when they lost Donovan McNabb, who, IMO, is a much more vital cog to the Eagles then Eli is to the Giants...

They may still surprise us all...although I doubt it

True, but the key to the Eagles success last season was really putting the fate of the team in the hands of Brian Westbrook.

Somehow, I'm not as worried about Derrick Ward taking the Giants anywhere
