^ u mean like when we deserved the nfc championship game and carlos rogers dropped 6 points which led to a TD and a loss?
i sure hope not..... but smoot really need not start over springs at ALL.... hell i'd throw in david macklin or travis fisher, smoot upset me alot today... but, I still have fAITH in him as nickel or dime.
I don't think travis fisher ever signed with the skins...and macklin was inactive for some reason

I didn't even realize Springs didn't start today. Crazy. He should always be starting if healthy. I think some people expect Smoot to be better than he really is. He, like Rogers, is a solid #2/#3 CB but he's not elite. Still...he's gotta play better than he did today. A lot of people do. I'll take the win though :)
And do we even have Fisher?

JLC reported that the team likes Torrence on special teams. He wasn't injured and it's surprising/disappointing to learn that a UFA special-teams CB beat-out a guy who took less pay to come to D.C. (the Eagles offered him more money, but Macklin grew up a Skins fan).

As I've said before, that play it was very important a completion didnt happen. Smoot was in position, which is good. While I would have loved that to be a pick, knocking it down was a damn good play in itself.
Smoot had some good plays today, and he had some plays that weren't so hot. I really think Smoot will get his swagger back soon.

no fisher plays for the lions and he dropped it because he was to happy about scoring in his first game back at FedEx and got too excited and he dropped it. 9 out of 10 times he catches that.

If Rogers and Springs are healthy I believe they should always be starting. Smoot is good but he's not starting material. I saw a few plays today where he didn't play smart, and when he dropped that pick I was so pissed, that would've been the game right there. He should work on his hands as well.

Agreed! Last year we weren't even close to getting any INTs it seemed. At least Smoot was in position. The potential is definitely there.

But didn't Rogers have 10 dropped INTs last year, or something like that? He was in position a lot last year from what I recall
