I really don't see Trotter being a good fit for MK"s stlye defense. He just dosen't have the speed to be effective in coverage anymore. Maybe as a situational LB on running downs, but not a full time player.

This is a good point. Isn't the Tampa 2 very similar to Cover 3 with the MLB playing the deep middle? There's no way Trotter could pull that off.

Correct, and I think that's one of the reasons Philly cut ties with him. He's limited now in what he can do, mainly because of age and injury.
