Anthony Montgomery starting?

I think as long as we keep an active rotation between Griffin, Montgomery, and Golston we will be just fine.

Todd Wade is also listed as third string guard behind blank. There is a disclaimour at the bottom saying depth chart is unofficial. As far as I know Golston remains the starter.

Although, now that I think about it Golston was in with the second team on Thursday when the other starters were out. I assumed that was because there aren't enough guards to let he and Griffin rest and that it was because he's younger and a few snaps wouldn't hurt. Maybe you have stumbled on to something.

I don't think it really matters if Goston or Montgomery starts. It's clear that there is going to be a heavy rotation with them anyways. So in the end they're probably going to get the same amount of playing time.

I heard the same thing. Montgomery also played in the game, so the fact that Golston played means nothing.

The "Gameday" feature on Redskins.com has Montgomery listed as the starter as well. This story seems to have eluded the local press. I assumed Golston would be the guy.

Gregg Williams loves to rotate the D-line. I thought Golston was the guy too. But even if Montgomery starts, I'm sure Golston will see equal time. I would personally prefer to see Golston as the starter, especially b/c of the chemistry he has developed with Griff....

the web guys aren't always up with the team guys. the website has been wrong plenty of times before. i think it's a non story.

it also has brunnel as the b/u QB even though they havent announced who that will be. so i dont think that redskins.com is very accurate. and it doesnt really matter the DT's will probably rotate throughout the game. its all a game to keep the opponent from knowing waht u r doing. just like gibbs said today the portis probably wont get most of the carries betts will. i think that was just to make sure the dolphins have more things to prepare for.
