Before we get too carried away enjoying the folly of the Raiders ineptitude, let us remember that the Redskins, in the mid 90s, drafted an OT in the first round named Andre Johnson who was so bad he stayed on the practice squad all year and then disappeared off the face of the earth. I think the only reason he made the PS was so Casserly and his scouts could save a modicum of face. At least the Raiders error (and I believe they are denying it) was merely clerical. Remember the Andre Johnson debacle when you start to complain about our FO or suggest we hire a "real" G.M.

Wow, the Skins had a draft bust? You don't say.

If you can't laugh at this gaffe by the Raiders you just don't have a sense of humor. I don't see how this relates to any draft mistakes the Skins have made, after all there isn't a team in the league that hasn't drafted a few busts. But to cut a guy on accident? Ouch, that's just insanely dumb.

It is however very weird that a team could be high enough on a guy to take him first pick in the third round, and not even feel hes one of your best 53 players. Especially since he was a dominant pass rusher in college.

Yeah I'm hearing reports as well that that article I posted isn't true. Idk what to think anymore, but either way I still think the Raiders front office has some degree of ineptitude for drafting a player with the 1st pick in the third round and then cutting him before the season starts.

if thats true, and they cut him by mistake, both those guys should be fired. and I'm not hard core by any stretch. but i don't think its too much to ask someone to do their job correctly
