I don't know how they do it, but they just do it. I wish our team could do that. Don't despair buddy, become one of us. Every year we think our team looks great "on paper" only at the end of the season we are all fed up and want to throw the bums out. coggs 09-03-2007, 03:48 PM 4mru, I have been around this site for a long time, going back to the days when this was a yahoo club. I have seen it every year where the gang is here is quite optimistic and then watch the ups and downs of the season. I think the problem is ESPN. When you watch those NFL Yearbook shows, they make you seem like your team was one play away from being Super Bowl Champs, hence you begin to get pumped for the season. I swear, a team can go 0-16, get shutout in 15 games, lose the other game 55-7, and they will somehow make you think they were a great team. 70Chip 09-03-2007, 04:06 PM The Giants are finished. The Eagles are finished. The Redskins and Cowboys will fight it out for the division with the Redskins easily pulling away in December. djnemo65 09-03-2007, 07:12 PM I am humble these days about calling the Giants out because I have been wrong about them consistently for 10 years.....BUT, I do think they will suck this season. backrow 09-03-2007, 10:17 PM I can honestly say that I have absolutely no faith in the Giants this year. Not only that, but I don't even LIKE my team. I think Eli is terrible, Shockey is still a pain in the a$$, Strahan is a lazy piece of $h!t who didn't want to go through training camp. Jacobs will be good, but he is a power runner. I don't think the Giants OLine is equipped to run a power running game. They are setting Coughlin up to fail to go ater Cowher. Oh, and Tiki is quickly turning into a douche. My prediction is the Giants and Skins will be involved in a painful-to-watch battle for the division cellar. If McNabb stays healthy the Eagles go 11-5 and take the division. If not, the Cowb!tches probably win it at 9-7 maybe 10-6. After typing this I feel I should either go to confession or just hang myself. I have tickets for four giants games this season (philly on 9/30, vikings on 11/25, skins on 12/16 and pats on 12/29) and I don't even want to go. I bolded the parts on which I actually agree with a g-nomes fan! redskins5044 09-04-2007, 08:26 PM i just watched the highlights of the 2005 season when we went to the playoffs. and our defense was all over the field in those 2 playoff games. if we had any kind of offense that year we would have been a real contender. i just hope our denfense can return to that 2005 form and hope the offense can produce some TD's on offense. |
