They need a WR and should trade W/ Tampa Bay for Michael Clayton.
2007 1st day draft picks released. Worth a look?SFREDSKIN 09-02-2007, 04:11 PM They need a WR and should trade W/ Tampa Bay for Michael Clayton. paulskinsfan 09-02-2007, 04:13 PM They need a WR and should trade W/ Tampa Bay for Michael Clayton. Im gonna disagree with you, unless they would let him go for a 6th rounder, we need to keep our picks for once and build this team's depth. Oh most definitely, I'm looking at giving at most a 5th rounder, no more. I worry about Gabriel having been cut twice by the Raiders and once by the Patriots. redskinsfanatic 09-02-2007, 04:33 PM Personally, I'm sick of seeing the Redskins picking through other teams' trash. the skins are just doing what every other team in the league does. skinsnut 09-02-2007, 07:07 PM Moses is gone dude, Cardinals swooped in. I agree, that kid could be a real find. I dont know how waivers works...is it like a lottery? Did the skins even have a chance to pick him up or was it not their turn or something? MTK 09-02-2007, 07:10 PM the skins are just doing what every other team in the league does. Yep, there are 31 other teams right now in addition to the Skins looking at who's available. mooby 09-02-2007, 07:17 PM I dont know how waivers works...is it like a lottery? Did the skins even have a chance to pick him up or was it not their turn or something? Waivers works like this. Remember the draft order from this year and how the Redskins were 6th? Well, it works the same way for Waivers. Oakland is first on the waiver wire, and when they say no, Detroit gets a chance, and etc. You should get the point. If the Cards had said no to Moses we would've been able to pick him up because we were next in the pecking order. Daseal 09-02-2007, 11:41 PM I hate hearing "Why should we look at another teams trash" So much in this league has to do with the system, how you fit in, and things surrounding you. Look at Trotter. He played great for the Eagles, came here and sucked, went back and played very well for the Eagles again. Sometimes a player just needs a new home, a change of scenery, or a system they work better in. Mosses is worth the look, the contract will be reasonable. Lets also remember, the raiders have arguably the best defense in the NFL. It's a hard squad to make. Cowell 09-04-2007, 10:15 AM The Raiders do have a great defense, they just get frequently overlooked due to the teams success. FRPLG 09-04-2007, 12:01 PM I have to be pretty wary of any first day pick who got cut. Those guys get the chances and every opportunity to show what they can do. If that investment of time and money isn't enough to keep them on the roster alone then there has to be something seriously amiss. It's not like a 5th rounder who was going to need to impress to make the team. First day picks are supposed to have the talent to start eventually. If they got cut then someone doesn't think they do. |
