Live news conference on NFL network with head coach Jack Del Rio where he named Garrard starting QB and its said that Leftwich will be traded or released. Im kind of surprised, but then again his play has not been stellar. Thoughts?

Really??? Wow. I think Leftwich is better than his team gives him credit for.

I'd take Leftwich in a heartbeat.

I will, however, refuse to give up a draft pick for him. We need to just dig a hole, bury our draft picks there, and not ef with them until April.

that's a huge surprise... wonder what went on behind the scenes... garrard really isn't any better.

well, i mean, they've shown they hadn't been big on leftwich before, but it's a pretty stupid move.

Wait. Where do we discuss Brunell possibly going back to Jacksonville via trade? And I'm not talking about trading for Leftwich.

ESPN is reporting that the Jags are interested in acquiring a veteran backup for Garrard and Brunnels name was specifically mentioned.

They did not say WHO or WHAT may or may not be traded for Brunnel, but just that getting Brunell back in Jacksonville would be a very popular move there.

"The Jaguars are also trying to acquire a veteran quarterback to serve as a backup and may turn to former Jacksonville QB Mark Brunell." (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp07/news/story?id=2999662)
