redskins looking at gabriel?

i guess they could use someone over 6 ft at the wide out position, could work in the red-zone

Yeah that's true, he could be an asset in the red zone because of his height. He would be our fourth or possible 3rd receiver at best, so we don't need to give him a big deal.

Well I mentioned Gabriel a couple of days ago as a good option for the Redskins to go after. It's been pointed out, however, that his attitude isn't all that desirable. Could be a product of playing in Oakland, but then again he also played in New England and I think they released him mid-season.

Regardless of attitude though, I'd like to bring him in. He's a better choice for our 5th receiver spot than someone like Burl "Ives" Toler I would imagine. Unless Toler's been some kind of beast on special teams.

Anyhow, this is all just speculation at this point.

Stats wise, there isn't a significant difference between the two. Regardless, RW is moving back up the depth chart in Jacksonville. I doubt he's going anywhere.

Ryan Hoag is 6' 2". He held on to that ball against Pittsburgh in the 2 minute drill. He is the only reserve that has done anyhting that comes close to anything. I say we keep him as the 5th receiver. If we cut him, he could be the next Keenan McCardell.

On a seperate note, does anyone think Beasly is a lock to make the team or no?

He has a good chance. If Sellers were to go down (God forbid) any play that calls for a lead blocker would have to be thrown out. I think they were looking for one of the youngsters to fill that role but it didn't pan out.

Also, am I taking crazy pills? PFT reports the Dolphins may cut Chris Chambers? What's up with that? Is this a different Chris Chambers or something? I don't keep up with everything but I thought he was their top guy.

no way to both. coach Gibbs is building good team chemistry thru guys attitudes. no need to disrupt that
