I don't know if you guys knew this, but Vick is also the sole person that took the "WMD's" out of Iraq before we could find them.

MNF seems to be missing something which can't quite put my fingers on. I do know though that I don't like it. Maybe I've been spoiled by Al Michael and Co.

I hope the MNF intro isn't quite as embarrassing as it was last year. And less celebs in the booth pimping their latest movies would be nice too.

Well, to the second part of your question that's not really going to change much. That's where the "business aspect" comes into play. Actually, the preference would be to have more athletes than entertainers but the NFL is very strict about what other sports can be promoted during their telecasts

To Matty, I heard that the MNF intro got updated again and is a big cameo. Sounds terrible. Maybe I misheard the radio.

Great, same old suckage I guess

Ugh. This is where MNF has gone wrong. They're trying to cater to a wider audience than they probably even really have. Football fans want a football broadcast. I really don't care what some celeb has to say, especially when it's painfully obvious they don't even understand the basics of football and they drone on about how big of a fan they are.

Does anyone here know of someone who didn't watch MNF "back in the day" but does now because of the new celebrity guest appearances? I personally didn't make it as much of a point to watch last year because all that non-football talk irritated me. The game's on in my house, of course, but I'll be online or reading a book with the game muted most of the time.

MNF will always get my attention if it is a good matchup of teams. It will never matter who is babbling on and on in the booth. Somehow I'll just tune them out and concentrate on the game.

Suzy? Really? She does a decent job of reporting, but I'd take Melissa Stark. I still miss her. :(
