I know Coaches don't play the game, but they do play a huge part in the result. If you absolutely had to win a game which one of these legendary Coaches would you want on the Sideline? Here's the list:
a: Vince Lombardi
b: Bill Belichick
c: Bill Walsh
d: Joe Gibbs
e: Don ShulaLombardi is a no brainer. After losing his first Championship game in 1960, he vowed to never lose another, after which he closed his career with 9 straight post-season victories.

unfortunately, Belichek. Dont like him, but he wins and more importantly, he wins consistantly in todays NFL.

I'd want Spurrier, with Ramsey playing QB!!!!
Seriously though, I'd definitely take Gibbs (I guess I'm a homer too). My second choice would be Walsh.

Joe Gibbs or John Madden. I love 'em both.

Vince Lombardi. Lombardi could motivate his players to run through a brick wall if need be. In this day and age, you just don't see that. The Patriots are the closest to a team where each individual player is willing to make personal sacrifices to better the team. So my close second would go to Bill Belichek, but of course, my favorite is Joe Gibbs.

ACtually Smooty,
George Allen would be a great pick, but since he wasn't an option, I would say it is between Coach Gibbs and Walsh. Allen helped build the franchise into winners and Gibbs took them over the top!!!!!!!

I like Clutches choice George Allen, with Lombardi next. Those guys got the most of their teams. Bellichik and Walsh would be next. Gibbs won with 3 qb's because he was stacked with the best WR trio in football along with a good stable of RB's and the best O line of all time. His defense was fairly solid as well. IF it weren't for Gibbs II he would have been there before Walsh on my list, but his second go around has been so so at best. Also I am not sure he should be the team president. Our drafts have sucked thus far with the exception of our first rounders and now McIntosh, and half of our FA acquisitions are busts or are currently looking that way.
Cooley, Blades, Golston, Fletcher, etc. Come on Gus I would argue Gibbs is doing what what he does best, finding good character guys to fill needs in their respective positions. It takestime for this to happen, just think of where we were when He took after Spurrier, what a nightmare!
