Maybe I'm alone in this, but I wanted some other peoples opinion....I think if Jason is ready to play, Kendall is ready to play, and (highly doubtful) but if Samuels or Portis was somehow ready to go, or even if they're not....should we play our offense longer than a quarter vs Jacksonville?? I mean we have looked downright bad this preaseason (and alot of it if not all of it has to do with injuries and having no running back (Betts has carried the ball maybe 15 times in 3 games?)....if we can get all these guys on the feild together, shouldnt we play them for more than one series just so they can get a little rythm going before the season?

It would be nice to get our offensive starters back, and in a rythm, but I am not sure if we can afford to risk the chance of one of those players re-injuring themselves, or another starter getting injured. I would say play the starters for two full series against Jax.

When everyone is healthy come week 1, we will have a pretty good offense, Great Run game, Good O-Line and pretty good targets.
portis wont be playing at all..... niether will samuels...

If Campbell is healthy, play him a little bit at least, but not much more than a quarter. However, I honestly think we'll see a lot of Brunell in order for Gibbs and company to make a clear decision on who's #2 and who's #3.
No chance of seeing Portis, Samuels, or Washington. Especially considering the fact that the game is this Thursday.

I tend to agree with part of this.
I think the most important part would be if Samuals and Kendall could play together for a half....that would be perfect....the rest is not as critical.
Portis does not need to play, nor does campbell other than a quarter...maybe.
We should definately work betts for a half with the new line if they are together. He is, after all, our backup and we need "O-line cohesion concentrate"!
Our running game sucks too bad to just follow the ettiquite of the last preseason game.

The problem is that Jax will not likely play their starting defense more than a quarter regardless of what we do so it wouldn't really mean much.
I don't think it's worth the risk. If Campbell were to get hurt with 2 minutes left in the half, the press would be merciless with Gibbs as would all of us.
