70Chip 08-24-2007, 08:23 PM hahaha thank you haven't laugh so hard in a long time.... rape our secondary has he raped any secondary at all PLEASE, he's the best qb in your roster but he isn't any Peyton, ohh and we raped peyton last year with our secondary.
Have you seen Romo play yes we feel really good about him and he's knees are fine.
Man I didn't came to fight it was a legit concern because there are no reports about his status.
You guys look great every pre-season. Then the regular season comes and its the same old thing: no running game.
BTW, how are your inaugural picks coming? Here's a tip: Take the Redskins to cover against Miami and get yourself a haircut on me.

hahaha, you keep showing up man, it lets me vent. why would we be concerned though?? he is not playing so he can avoid injury, not because he has one, any fool can see that. any fool(cowboy fan) can remember the ol' 8 car raping your secondary and if he can do it, so can campbell....ha is it freaking friday??? check you all in the morning, its hammar time.
oh and ps tendonitis is not an injury it is an excuse not to play preseason thats all.
SantanaMan 08-24-2007, 08:37 PM My personal theory on this is that CP and the coaches have agree to not play him in preseason, BUT he IS participating in practice (as it is now all closed practices) and that the team are doing a "Belichick" and giving out the impression he is hurt, when he isn't.
He'll be good to go against the Dolphins.
Longtimefan 08-24-2007, 08:55 PM You are on something man...speculation about Gibbs saying CP is injured when he is not sparks a "weakness of Gibbs coaching" comment?
Are you like 12 years old or something?
You must not have seen him take a very lame vanilla team for decades and made them into a near dynasty.
Gibbs is a master or personal relations...it is certainly not his weakness.
He may have others but....get a CLUE!
No, I'm just a little more than twelve dude, and I've probably been around a hell of a lot longer than you have. I've had the pleasure of witnessing all of Joe Gibbs acomplishments since he became involved in the HFL (not just the Redskins). Before you arive at unwarrented conclusions, my reference to Gibbs's weakness was more about his willingness to over protect his players, not about any disrespect for his ability. Stop kissing those three trophies he stands in front of and get with the here and now. That which is past and gone is just that, past. There's maybe a clue or two you could learn from.
htownskinfan 08-24-2007, 09:14 PM Personally, I'm getting tired of CP's act. He is so high maintenence. He acts like he is to good for preseason. Sorry CP your not LT so stop using him as an example as to why you should not play in preseason. You need the work so get out there and get a few reps like the rest of the team. And if you can't do that AT LEAST practice in full pads for once.
I agree,I have a friend in Denver that said that was one of the reasons they shipped Portis out of there,he wouldnt play with any pain, they thought he was a puss.I'm not saying he is,but thats how he's looked at in Denver

this is getting out of hand, people are calling portis a puss now!!!!!!! get the fuck out of here, seriously.....LT he is fucking pussy too? Emmitt Smith was a pussy, so was Barry Sanders and every other great running back!!!! they all sat out pre season, CLINTON PORTIS IS THE FARTHEST THING FROM A PUSSY!!!!!!!!! if you want proof of that watch how he runs first of all, the guy runs as hard as anyone. second of all watch how he blocks, and if you can name a better back in the league at picking up blitzes or throwing down field blocks, then you havent watched him play since he has been in DC, quit talking shit about this guy!!! hes not hurt and he is 100000000% not a god damn pussy...get with it folks
GusFrerotte 08-25-2007, 12:18 AM Preseason is moronic, yeah play a couple scrimmages like in HS but not full blown games. NFL greed has cost many a players' careers.

Hey,
I'm not trying to start a fight or anything...but suggesting Gibbs is favoring players over a team is not accurate. You have your opinion and I have mine...Yes, I love those 3 trophies and you likely do too.
I bet you were as excited as me when he came back too. Yes, he hangs on players a long time but so do a lot of high quality coaches. This team is in desperate need of long term commitment, and thats what he offers...the problem is everyone wants him to yank players the second they have a bad game...Brunell...sure, I think he waited too long last year, but Campbell wouldn't have given the team a chance for a playoff run if he started a little earlier. Remember, it was Brunell that led the team to our first playoff run in years when odds were stacked against him. That should count for something (and it did)
I think Gibbs is a man of character and would not put a players interest before the team. That is where we differ I believe.
Gmanc711 08-25-2007, 02:41 PM I honestly bet he'll start practicing next week, I honestly dont think he's hurt at all...I really dont even care if he's faking it, I dont want anyone hurt at this point. He's very unlikley to play in any preseason games, so I wouldnt be shocked if he magically is healed somtime in the next week.
I really wouldn't be surprised if Gibbs and Portis came to some sort of understanding. I don't doubt that his knee acted up a bit, but I think Portis took full advantage of that and has used that as an excuse to skip out on the preseason, and this way Gibbs doesn't lose face by showing preferential treatment to Portis.
