Here is a really easy way to look at:

the Saints this time last year everyone was like there is a crappy team, blah blah blah....

The Redskins this time last year, oh they look like SB contenders after their 2005 performance and adding such awesome FA.

We all know who 2006 ended up and we should all know by now Sports Writers don't know jack. Espically Mike and Mike they are the worst!!!! They don't even talk about sports anymore. Seriously is there anyone on here that enjoys listening to them????

Mike Golic? To hell with him anyway. What'd you expect from a former Eggle. His only claim to fame these days is losing weight (allegedly) via Nutrisystem. Seriously though, I'd much rather have the 'Skins considered an underdog and hope that some teams / players will overlook us.

I think I'm gonna puke. The schlubs on ESPN radio were just chastising Joe Gibbs as how he failed to be the savior of the Redskins during his second tour. No worries, I'll just change the channel...

Get used to it. The only guy on ESPN that ever gives us any credit is Ron Jaworski.

Wait, Mike and Mike?? You mean Man-Girl and Meatball?? A a lot of the guys on ESPN come off as morons. Or at least their producers forcefeed them their opinions and they give off the appearance of being hacks. For every John Clayton, Peter Gammons, and Tim Kurkjian, we have to deal with Michael Irvin (now Keyshawn), Eric Young, etc... If I have to hear Mark Schlereth and Sean Salisbury say "there's no question in my mind" one more time I'm gonna puke. I have such a love-hate relationship with that network. At least SmootSmack is a good dude.

I agree. I mean I'm old enough to remember CABLE TV in its infancy and I'm much appreciative of all the things ESPN has brought to me over many years. I just grow weary of the same old crap when these guys trash us year after year after year. And yes, SmootSmack is the exception to the rule up in Connecticut (Note to SmootSmack: Don't reveal this post to your superiors!) ;-)

We need to win. And then all the haters can lick my balls. We reel off 11 or 12 wins and they all be claiming they saw it coming, way back in the pre-season.

And don't knock Nutrisystem. You get a whole week of meals free when you order now...

And, Collins goes first Saturday, per Joe Gibbs on Redskins.com TV. He seemd to indicate that Brunell would go first against Jax but didn't say that specifically.

Right now most football rags have us going 7-9 to 9-7. Our D is looking very sharp, but I do have reservations with our O. I can see us having a repeat of 2005 with the offense not being able to put up enough points to get past the wildcard if we do make the playoffs. I can see us winning t he division, but then again I can see us finishing 3rd in the division also. I have seen Dallas and Philly, and both look sharp(Eagles running game sucks thus far though). Even the Lions of all teams are looking sharp, as well as GB. To me it seems as a lot of teams seem to be really coming together on their O execution and we are either in first or second gear. Big question is whether we can really get it going before week 1. We need to give JC at least 3 series work against the Ravens to keep his progress going. I like what I have seen so far, but it isn't as fluid as some other teams we play this season in the NFC. They are running on all cylinders, we are not.
