If Schefter reports it then it is true.
Lemar Marshall released for Randall Godfrey??FRPLG 08-21-2007, 11:55 AM If Schefter reports it then it is true. Sheriff Gonna Getcha 08-21-2007, 11:55 AM I personally thought that Marshall was an excellent reserve linebacker and a decent starting OLB. He was overmatched at MLB, but I'm disappointed to see him go. Randall Godfrey used to be a pretty damn good linebacker, but I'm not sure how much he has left in the tank at this stage of his career. 12thMan 08-21-2007, 11:58 AM Just doesn't make sense, I don't care how we slice it. An eleven year vet for a proven vet that started last year. Unless Marshall is still hurt, and they wanted him to get into another system before long. That being said, there's no guarantee that Godfrey makes the team either. It could be that we're just comfortable with our young crop of linebackers. backrow 08-21-2007, 11:59 AM Marshall was due the Vet min, Rocky is up and coming, and the new guys can adequately fill in the ST's and PS. This has got to be a cost savings move. Monkeydad 08-21-2007, 11:59 AM Uh oh. Another source. EARTHQUAKE2689 08-21-2007, 11:59 AM I couldnt find anything on it. SmootSmack 08-21-2007, 12:00 PM He had 4 sacks last year. Which isn't much, but it'd have been second only to Carter's 6 on our team last year Monkeydad 08-21-2007, 12:01 PM Randall Godfrey : Rotoworld.com - Randall Godfrey Biography from Rotoworld.com (http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=NFL&id=563) Also, although it's echoing Adam Schefter. Marshall, a guy who's been here and already knows the system for someone that you are hoping on not to mention a bit older than Marshall isn't that much of a brain teaser for me. Also, maybe Sartz, Blades, and the rest have turned out better than they originally thought they would be. Who knows jgalecpa 08-21-2007, 12:02 PM Uh oh. Another source.
