haha, I do as much as i can.
As much as i love the atmosphere i don't like the terming of 'party school'. None of those schools are that great. I would like maryland to start working on what bringing up their recognition. I'm in business and the business school has a pretty good reputation but that too should be higher.

But enough of that serious stuff. Number 14!!! NICE! I love maryland's party scene. Its not focused entirely around frats and there is always something to do. I actually was seriously considering joining some frats last term. I got a couple bids but i don't think i really want to do it. I will still go rush and eat their food and drink their beer.


School starts on Sunday and we have 4 days off. That means i might die in those first 4 days. I am pretty sure i'm going to be drunk that whole time. THen Saturday the 1st is the first football game so that will be a lot of fun too.

I really wonder if there is such a thing as a non-party school?

Seriously, even the smallest colleges I ever road-tripped had great parties.

I mean really, VCU will never touch that list but walk through the fan in richmond and you can pop into house parties everywhere.

I drank and had far more fun in high school than I do at George Mason.

I don't doubt some schools are lame, but I think a lot of it has to do with what you make of it. I started off at tiny ass SUNY Cobleskill and had an absolute blast there.

I think that list has some validity. I went to Penn State this summer for something called ArtsFest, and about 50% of the student body comes back to thrown down and party.

There were crazy parties, and I can confidently say those parties were better than anything at UVA, Tech or JMU that I have been to.

Public school, just really really strict on alcohol.

I can attest living in Austin, TX that UT-Austin is a serious party school. Good times, even if you don't go there!

I wouldn't say Salisbury is a huge party school...however, legend has it that back in the mid to late 80s, the President of the University used to tap the first keg on Friday afternoons in the Quad...and the school had a huge party reputation then. Which all changed with the next President...

As AMD can attest to, Salisbury has its moments. While it's near the beach, that beach is downright cold from mid October til mid April. There isn't much else to do in the 'bury...so we made due. One of our fraternity brothers lived on a farm about 30 minutes south of campus, so we used to throw parties out there. When we weren't out there, we had house parties, and sometimes dorm room parties, although we were a bit more cautious with these. Then you turned 21 and pretty much lived in the local bars during their specials night (best was Tuesdays, $1 import bottles).
