We'll see. I reserve myself to those thoughts now. I want to see them in actual action. (that's regular season action...preseason means jack-squat)(and that comment is dedicated to the man living in a van down by the river)

No, he wasn't.
He was an excellent player for St. Louis. Problem is, it's hard to find a compliment for ST's me first play. Arch didn't fit well here...no hard feelings, I wish him success in Chicago.
i disagree with this. i saw a bunch of rams games( because my brothers a fan) and archuleta was the same kind of player there. pretty good up in the box, but couldnt cover me. im not sure what the skins saw in him that made them think he would fit here

i wonder why people think this? did he ever make a pro bowl? i think the skins took a chance on him because of what he could have been, not what he was.
Yeah he did in St.Louis. Archuleta was one of the best safeties while in STL. That's why it was a big deal. He killed under Lovie in St.Louis and he will do it in Chicago. Archuleta is a beast when used right.
I'm sure "the leak" will bounce back under Lovie.
He's always been overrated and he was never a cover safety. We definitely got burned on him, not sure if it was a case of the Skins not doing their homework or if he just stunk it up for whatever reason. Either way he's gone, best of luck to him. I hope we torch him when we play Chicago.

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if he plays well in their system. You never know, he might become the corner stone of their defense :)
I'm just be glad we off loaded his dead weight onto someone else :)
It's gonna be fun December 6th, to see how he does against us. I hope GW suggests a couple nice plays to Al that burned AA in the past.

Arch lost a considerable amount of speed in a Redskin uniform(as in he went from fast to slow) leading me to speculate that he was on the juice in his St Louis career, but after he got paid he stopped risking getting caught. If he plays well this year then my theory is garbage, but if he looks slow and washed up then I say he was simply a chemicaly enhanced player that fooled people long enough to get a sick signing bonus. I'm talking HGH by the way or something that up until now was basically undetectable.
HGH doesn't make you run faster. Just leans you up. So I don't think that has anything to do with it.
He just wasn't a good fit in GW's defense. That's the bottom line.

I'm not sure what you're disagreeing with. He was very good for St. Louis...that's not really a debate. No one ever said he was a good cover corner. We all knew he wouldn't bring that to the table. The fact is, the Rams knew it, and played him that way. He's a GREAT run stopper (Ie: Taylor, which makes two run stoppers at safety useless).
Any safety tandem will work well with one being a cover, and the other being a stopper. Arch will succeed in any system that he can be that stopper. Unfortunately for him, we already had that guy.
I do agree with you...I fail to see what the Skins saw in him to make him successful here.

Commercial????
I was referring to Matt Foley, the motivational speaker...ie: Chris Farley on SNL.
