Beckham's contract is actually 5 years, $50 million (not 250). But on top of that he's receiving something like 40% of all Galaxy merchandise and ticket sales.

Actually the contract is 5 years and 250 mil. Granted part of it is commercial endorsements, but he is still guarenteed 250 mil over 5 years.

I should have been clearer. I was speaking specifically of his contract to play soccer. That's 50 over 5 years, might be even less actually.
