The inmates, the asylum, etc. After the pants guy in D.C. and now this it is obvious our legal system is irretrievably broken, to borrow a lawyerly phrase. Thank you Peter Angelos, et al.

How could that even go to trial? It should have been tossed out in a New York second. With extreme prejudice. How much did that trial cost the taxpayers? The time wasted. It's unbelievable. It cost those Koreans something like $75,000 to defend themselves against that nut. Cold hard cash going from hard working people right into the pockets of scumbag lawyers. God I hope there is a hell.

It's like saying well, the Duke Lacrosse players were cleared in the end so the system works. All is not well that ends well.

the court of public opinion is not part of the actual legal system. it does suck that people have to pay out of pocket for idiots, and i hope those guys filed counter claims for having their time and money wasted needlessly... there's really not a good answer for that though.
