The deal is this is a Saunders offense now...so why hold on to 2 old farts? All you have to do is manage the offense. You cant teach an old dog new tricks....these tricks are new to Brunell... Only chance we have this year is if the D is solid and creates turnovers. They played good today, even the 2nd and 3rd stringers. Otherwise, winning 7 games this year will be a stretch. We kept Brunell for two reasons, he has a lot of experience and is a good mentor, and his cap numbers are huge. We are keeping Collins for a couple reasons too. He knows Saunders system, and he makes a great coach. He's also very cheap. Palmer is the only possible person to dethrone him, and he is too green to do it right now. That all being said, again, we are stuck with what we have, so might as well get behind them.
