Well I didn't mean you literally pulled it
Plus, "technically" he didn't retire. He was placed on Injured Reserve
Well, "technically" I posted this thread prior to his announcment so I went with the lead story at the time. http://www.thewarpath.net/images/icons/icon10.gif

I always thought he was way overrated. A product of the Madden hype machine. Seriosuly he was at no point the best fullback in football. he was just the most popular.

SI.com - NFL - Alstott goes on IR with neck injury that could end career - Thursday August 9, 2007 3:11PM (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/nfl/08/09/bc.fbn.bucs.alstott.ap/index.html)
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday placed the six-time Pro Bowl fullback on injured reserve with a neck problem that Alstott said was not related to a career-threatening injury that required surgery in 2003.
"It is what it is. The facts are the facts," the 33-year-old said during an emotional press conference at the team's headquarters. "I can't put on the helmet and jersey this year."
But Alstott, arguably the most popular player in team history, couldn't bring himself to say that he may have played his last game. He shrugged off several retirement-related questions, saying that's something that will be answered in time.

ESPN just said that he hasn't retired, that he is unsure of his 2008 plans at this point.
He should retire...like i said, he has nothing else to prove.

Good player for the BUCS when healthy. His career is over, regardless if he made the formal announcement or not.

He's an idiot if he returns...would he rather be paralyzed or be able to bounce his grandkids on his knee?
