Thanks Smoot. I figured you'd be the one to find it.

I wonder if anyone ever confirmed the story with Casserly.

Well, I can tell you Casserley actually left us in good shape... if you remember, his last year he worked the deal that got us Champe Bailey in that year, and left us with the number 2 AND 3 pick of the following year. He also got us Brad Johnson who let us to one of the highest scoring teams in history.

Then Danny got his hands in all of that and drove Brad away for our boy Jeff George (aka cancer) and drove Champe away as soon and as fast as he could run.

As I recall - after firing Norv, Danny called Casserly to tell him that he [Snyder] should have kept Casserly instead of Norv.

This was in a Post story sometime back, I just couldn't find it.

That's how I remember it.

I wonder how much they are paying him.

Wrong Wrong Wrong Casserly sucks. If you want evidence of this, just look at his picks and signings in Houston. He tried to piggy back off the sucess of Bobby Beathard but he doesn't have an eye for talent. I can't make it any more lucid than that.

Why can't we persuade the real LOSER, Vinnie Cerrato, to take the job at GM and welcome Charlie Casserly back with open arms? The only problem might be that dan Snyder might have to search for another "gopher" or raquetball partner.

This is more about Gibbs than it is about Cerrato in my opinion. Danny gave Gibbs president status, and I doubt he'd hand it away to a GM. When there's a changing of the guard at head coach will be the only time we could scoop up a GM.
