Sean Taylor rarely ever speaks to the media, and even when he does he avoids answering many questions, sometimes it seems like he doesn't even talk to his teammates. Taylor has built quite the reputation of being somewhat of an enigma. So the question is why is Sean so mysterious?
Personally I love the fact that Taylor is the way he is, rarely do you ever see such a professional athlete act in the manner that Sean Taylor does. I love it, and hope he keeps it up.
I would love to get everyone's take on what they think of Taylor's personality.

I think he is shy by nature and then all the attention for his misdeeds probably shuttered him away even more.

Eh, I'm glad he's not a big mouth anyway. I think that is part of the reason I like him so much. He talks with his play on the field.

I think it's just because he doesn't want his words to portray him in a negative view. Sometimes the media will take what a person says and cut out parts of it so the person looks bad. That and he just doesn't like media attention, and he's not contractually obliged to talk to them.

All I can say is I'm really glad he lets his action do the talk instead of his mouth..

Honestly,
his mysterious thug demeanor combined with his amazing athleticism and punishing hits,
w.o. exaggeration
He is my favorite athlete of all time.
Cannot wait to see him play this year.

I dont think he's an enigma at all. In the interviews I have seen, he just seem like a normal dude who chosses not to talk to the media. Doesnt the whole Broncos O-line not talk to the media? Its not that uncommon, im sure every team has got one.

I think he still talks to teammates. He just doesn't seem to like the media. They haven't been very nice to him in the past. I'm not all that sure that he is such a quiet person with people. I got a chance to speak with him for a few minutes before and he is really one of the nicest players i've spoken to. And I agree with NM, when he does talk to the media he seems really normal. However, there was an article a few years back that said that he would spend a lot of time in his grandmother's house reading quietly in his room.

He comes from the University of Miami, the "thug demeanor" is part of the package.
