That's what I like about him. He doesn't talk a big game, he just shows up and knocks people out of thier socks. I like it when he gets fired up on the field though and starts talking trash getting into people heads.

Yeah I don't think he has a problem talking to his teammates either, he does share that "U" bond with Portis and Moss. I'm sure most of the people on this board have seen that picture of him out partying with Portis and Moss. That and his teammates have never had a problem vouching for him.
Do you mean this???

I think Taylor is a little thug, but not as much as people suppose. This may sound a little weird, but I think he's a bit of a thinker too. But mainly an introvert.

As far as him not talking to the media, I think Taylor just doesn't like the hypocrisy of it all. They crucified him a couple of years ago, now he's the best thing since sliced bread. I think he's one of these dudes that's intensely loyal (that's where the thug comes in) and when you get stabbed in the back, he'll never forget it.

Whatever the case, I think it's more intimidating when a guy walks around silent all week, then knocks your head off on Sunday.

Around the team, all parties say Taylor has become more willing to speak up. Around the media is another story. The team's media relations staff has tried to set up a group interview session for Taylor the last three days, but each attempt has been futile.

Is This the Year of Sean? (http://www.washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070803/SPORTS01/108030090/1005/SPORTS)

Apparently he's become more and more willing to lead the defense.

Who cares if he talks or not. As long as he shows up on Sundays I frankly don't care if I ever hear him talk. It's his choice to not talk to the media. More power to him.

i honestly think its refreshing to have a young superstar in the making, letting his action on the field do all his talking. Too many players today self promote themselves so much the media buys into it and makes most of the average players seem hall of fame bound.

I've worked with athletes for PR purposes, and surprisingly (or maybe not for some of you), I'd say only 20% of athletes are naturally ready and willing to speak to the media.

on a side note...where did his nickname (Meast) come from...and is he aware of it?
