CultBrennan59 07-27-2013, 10:44 AM Identity Thief was awful, putting it lightly. That Guy 07-27-2013, 06:58 PM identity thief was fine, the ending was lacking though. mooby 07-27-2013, 07:08 PM identity thief was fine, the ending was lacking though. I concur with that guy's assessment. CultBrennan59 07-28-2013, 02:45 AM Saw Wolverine tonight. Pretty good. It's your typical summer popcorn flick. I'd give it a 7/10. Also make sure you stay after the credits. Huge plot line after the credits. A must see. itvnetop 07-29-2013, 02:46 AM Only God Forgives isnt as bad as everyone said and somehow I knew it wouldnt be. Lacks a little in spots, mos def worth a watch. Gosling really good again, still like Drive better. Refn the director has now made a handful of really solid flicks. Ive mentioned them before awhile back, but he directed "The Pusher" trilogy. These 3 movies are incredible, check them out. A huge movie buff friend of mine said "The Act of Killing" is officially in his all time top ten. He told me its a brilliant approach. OGF gets better with each viewing. The best cinematography I've seen this year. Also agree on Refn. This film had a bit of the surreal, similar to Valhalla Rising. The score was composed by the same guy as Drive (Cliff Martinez). Can't wait to see Act of Killing. Jeff Nichols' (Take Shelter) Mud is a really fine coming of age story. That Guy 07-29-2013, 05:06 AM Emperor is good. especially if you like WW2/history stuff. also the colony is okay. it's basically a zombie movie though. This has been on my list to see. Michael Shannon is beast. Yeah waiting for Mud at the redbox too. skinsfaninok 07-29-2013, 12:08 PM Was looking forward to watching The Incredible Burt Wonderstone,I couldnt believe how incredibly bad it was.Wouldnt have thought a comedy with Steve carrell and Jim Carrey would not be funny.Bad script and bad acting JC isnt funny anymore CultBrennan59 08-10-2013, 01:14 AM Elysium was good. There were times I thought it was a great movie, and there were times were I didn't like the direction which the film went/it got predictable. But the graphics were great and the action was good as well. skinsfanthru&thru 08-10-2013, 01:38 AM Going to see Elysium tomorrow night and stoked, but in the mean time if anyone is a fan of any of DC's anapimated features, Justice League:Flashpoint Paradox was really good and worth a rental or picking up at target or somewhere for $14. One thing I will say is this was super ballsy of DC because this was one of the hardest I've ever seen a pg-13 rating get pushed and honestly think it should have been r-rated. |
