mmil12 07-25-2007, 10:45 AM Does anyone know the likelihood that Laundry signs and is in camp on day one? Also, does anyone know what the plan is for preseason games as far as playing the starters? I'd hate to see what happen last year to portis happen again to a key player.
Ade Jimoh Fan Club 07-25-2007, 10:48 AM Because character-wise, Lloyd is a total piece of sh*t. I'm telling you, the guy is going to give us major problems this year. He's going to pout when he doesn't get his way.
Everyone always says that Lloyd is a complainer, has character issues, detractor in the locker room - but i've never seen anything to support it. He's very well spoken in interviews and actually sounds like he's got a GREAT attitude. I know he occasionally gets emotional on the sidelines - but is that a bad thing? I've never heard him bitch about not getting enough balls, etc...
Where does all this stem from? Is it just because we're disappointed in his performance? He has been a major let-down, no question, but I haven't witnessed anything to question his character.

We don't know who "Laundry" is mmil! LaRon Landry is maybe who you are referring to, however, just for clarity sake!
j/k dude!
On the play of starters, I've heard nothing. Usually in PS game 1,the starters play a quarter or a half, then the back-ups come in. In games 2 & 3, that time might decrease, maybe only a series or two. Then in the 4th game, the starters might play 3/4 or at least a series of the 4th quarter.

It's been pretty well documented, and at the end of last season in the Wash. Post there was an extensive article about him.
It's no big secret that he has some issues regarding his attitude.
Schneed10 07-25-2007, 10:57 AM I just don't think Gibbs will let one player affect the rest of the team. Lloyd had some issues last season but if anyone can keep a player like him in check, it is Gibbs.
And why is it always the recievers that are head cases? Keyshawn, T.O., Lloyd. I'm sure somebody could name some more.
I imagine it will affect the rest of the team in that it will leave JC with only Moss and ARE to throw to. And ARE isn't great anyway.
But we will see. Hopefully Lloyd keeps his nose clean.

I don't have very high hopes for him either. I really hope he can straighten his act out but something tells me he's not going to change and he'll be gone next year. I definitely think if we didn't need to get rid of AA it would have been Lloyd instead.

I just hope that we leave the key guys out. I really thought we were in a good situation at the beginning of last year...then the injury bug hit! Landry needs to sign from day one so he can win the job...nothing against the othe safeties but I really want him and ST to have a chance to build chemistry.
hagams 07-25-2007, 11:13 AM I'm not a big BL fan, but I have no problem with him crying about this, or that as long as he isn't dragging the team down. If you look at other teams having a crybaby WR, we are sitting pretty if he's unhappy. I think this year has too much promise for him to really make a big stink about anything. Shut up, play ball, and support your teamates and everyone will be happy. Oh yeah....Catch the ball when it does get thrown to you.
SmootSmack 07-25-2007, 11:16 AM I think Lloyd's wife/girlfriend/fiancee/baby mama recently gave birth to their son. So maybe he's just spending some time with them before camp commences.
Here's an article that addressed Lloyd's attitude problems from last year:
