andre was a great wrestler and a walking mountain, but it would have been hard for him to be a pro football player.he had a lot of medical problems and he could have'nt played football with them which included serious back problems and arthritis.he made the right choice.

But seriously I think he made the right career choice. He would have been out of football pretty quick.

Doubt that Buster. HE was sort of slow in his movement even in the 70's. HE never really got hit in the ring. The ill effects of his giganticism would have been greatly accelerated probably with the constant pounding and bending over he would have done. He would have lasted maybe 2-3 seasons tops then would have been messed up I would think. By the time he wrestled Hogan for the title in Wrestlemania he could barely move. By the early 80's he was just a big freak that couldn't get knocked down, but he could barely move.

Yeah, but when you're that big, it takes a while to run around you. :D

I was sort of being sarcastic with my comment. He died of a heart attack right? Was it steroid-induced or was it just the stress his huge body but on his heart?

The giant would have been a pretty awesome football player to watch though. Can you imagine him picking up a fumble and watching everyone try to tackle him?

It would've been like the scene from The Replacements where the Sumo guy picks it up and the other coach is screaming "jump on his back!"

Do you watch movies or scripted television? That's fake too.
Yes and after the movie the give credit to the "actors" unlike wrestling they raise the hand of the winner. Which, was already known and then the fans get disapointed that his guy lost like he fought his guts out but still lost.
