Commissioner Roger Goodell has ordered Michael Vick of the Atlanta Falcons not to report to the team’s training camp pending the completion of an NFL review of his recent indictment by a federal grand jury in Richmond, Va., for allegedly participating in an interstate dog-fighting enterprise.

What I don't get is how Joey Harrington keeps finding starting jobs.

I think Vick is getting a one year suspension sooner rather than later. Plain and simple. He might avoid any major jail time, but he is going to pay a heavy price as he deserves. Goodell is realizing that the evidence is just so overwhelming that there just isn't much of a choice.

And meanwhile his cousin is winning the British Open.
As for Vick, this is probably best for everyone. He stills gets paid and the distractions for him and the team aren't there.

That is what the Falcons are thinking of their trade with Houston.

They both have a great knack for falling ass-backwards into good fortune. He hit two balls in the water on the 72nd hole and still won. Unbelievable.
Also Vick has hired Billy Martin to plead his case:

Or maybe it's the Bill Martin that played basketball at Georgetown:

I'm actually surprised, I thought he was going to pull a Bud Selig and wait until after the jury made a decision.
Do you think the players union will fight this?

I do not think that NFLPA want's to touch this one at all. It is not like Vick is forefeiting any pay to stay away. On another note nobody want's to be known for supporting Vick with all of the evidence against him. Furthermore the NFLPA sits on Goodell's Player Conduct board. I am sure that they spoke on this matter prior to the decision.

Yeah, but didn't they run to Pacman Jones side?
