After seeing ESPN's cognescenti giving them a pre-season power ranking of 28(with all-time Redskin hater Pasquerelli being part of the crew making the rankings, of course) and Street and Smith's predicting them to finish in last, I'm just happy to see someone predicting a first place finish, even if it is at 7-9.

Welcome. This is what good grammar looks like, people.

Why is everyone predicting the Giants to be so terrible this year? I understand that they didn't finish strong last year, but I feel as if everyone is counting them out prematurely. I would have to agree that the entire division is wide open. Every team has potential to be dominant. I would count out Dallas due to a coaching change before I count out NY. I am not about to bet against Dallas right now though.

The reason why I do not think that the Giants will do well this year is because I don't believe that Eli has what it takes to put the team on his back. With the lose of Tiki in the backfield that makes Brandon Jacobs the starting RB. I do not know right now, but I don't think that Jacobs is as good as Tiki. This year Eli will have to be the man on the offensive side of the ball, and I am not sold on that he can do that just yet...

7-9 for all is such a wierd prediction. I could understand a couple at 8-8 and a couple at 7-9 or something, but all under .500, that would make history. It won't happen.
It is good to see that others don't see our division as that tough. I do think we can beat everyone in our division this year. The eagles are worse, the giants are worse, and the cowboys are worse...the skins got better though...so this could easily mean we will win the division.

I agree that the Tiki was a great loss, but as long as the RB tandem can make up for most of that lost production, I believe that Eli will be fine. I also realize that their Defense isn't bad either. I am actually curious to see what "What's his name?" looks like at LB.

Giants are going to be scraping the bottom of the NFC-East this year. They will have no offense and a decent defense.

Who are you referring to? If it's Arrington, I thought they released him?

I think that he is talking about Mathias Kiwanuka, he was a DE last year and I heard that they are either going to or were thinking of moving him to LB...

I agree that if the tandem of Jacobs and Droughns can make up 1 Tiki then maybe they will be better. As of now I am not sold on it at all...

Just goes to show you how difficult it is to predict the NFC East.
