I'm concerned about Moss as well honestly. His groin problems are cropping back up again. He's a baller when healthy, but man he's hurt a LOT.

Chief X_Phackter 07-24-2007, 11:39 AM Definitely the quarterback position. This team will be as successful as the quarterback is efficient. If Jason Campbell does well, the team will do well. If Jason Campbell get's hurt or struggles mightily and Mark Brunell comes in the same answer applies. I am cautiously optimistic in what Jason Campbell will do for us this year, but he is still unproven, and he is still pretty green. hesscl34 07-24-2007, 11:41 AM Definitely the quarterback position. I just hope that if MB does need to come in for any reason that the fans do boo him again... SmootSmack 07-24-2007, 11:46 AM I'm surprised no one has said our cornerbacks. (Unless I missed it already). We can be close to great at that position if Springs stays healthy, if Rogers holds on to potential interceptions, if Smoot doesn't continue the downward spiral he seemed to be on in Minnesota, if Butler and Macklin can step up as solid nickel/dime corners (more so than say Kenny Wright). That's a lot of "If's" Monksdown 07-24-2007, 11:52 AM Atleast we addressed that problem with quantity. We'll have to wait and see about quality. But our depth increases the chances of a more stingy defense overall. Short of a number of catastrophic injuries, we should have cornerbacks up and down the cornerback depth chart. Not safeties picked up in the middle of the season playing nickel and dime packages. That's a step up. But our defense in general needs to completely turn the corner, or we're definitely screwed. redsk1 07-24-2007, 01:24 PM I'm worried most about Jason Campbell. Although, I liked what I've seen from him last year, he is still an unproven young QB. Teams only go as far as their QB takes them. The second thing i'm worried about is our defensive pressure on the QB. I think we'll be better but it's still a major area of concrern. Cowell 07-24-2007, 02:26 PM I'm worried about Brandon Lloyd earning his paycheck, London Fletcher producing and not turning out to be a bust, and Clinton Portis' health. redsk1 07-24-2007, 02:35 PM I'm worried most about Jason Campbell. That's a lot of "If's" I guess because our cbs are a given problem.... we just didn't think of it as the biggest worry. We always worry about them. |
