This analysis is most likely correct, but very simplistic in its nature. I don't think I learned anything I didn't already know from reading this report.

Sometimes, it's just that simple.

So says Scouts Inc.

32. Washington Redskins (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=was)
Six-year veteran Andre Carter (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5454) is the most solid player on the defensive line. He has been surrounded by underachievers and aging athletes. Carter has excellent quickness off the edge but has never been a physical player versus the run. Phillip Daniels (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=3634) is on the backside of his career and does not have much playmaking ability. Backup ends Demetric Evans (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5710) and Renaldo Wynn (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=3924) have shown little playmaking ability throughout their careers. Defensive tackles Cornelius Griffin (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5071) underachieved in 2006 and has been an inconsistent performer much of his career. Rookie sixth-round pick Kedric Golston (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=7945) and backup Joe Salave'a (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=4336) play hard but don't have the tools to be impact players. The Redskins didn't address the defensive line deficiencies in the 2007 draft. Instead they tried to plug holes with veteran retreads.

Funny how we go from having the 3rd ranked D to this? Andre Carter was a joke until mid-year last year when he actually started to play - so he is our best player now? It was a bad year last year, but that means we suck now?? It's all so stupid, and this guy had to think of something to write about to fill his boring day. I hope our D makes ESPN eat their words…. I’m confident they will.

i think the way people on this board look at C. Griffith, and the way the rest of the league looks at him, is totally different

Griffin when healthy is a very solid presence up front. JUst has had injuries the past 2 seasons.

And GM everyone!

They are just fine. I got my son(18 months) saying "Go REDSKINS" all the time now. It comes out more like "o ehsins" but I really like the effort. He is "Super Smart".

Edit: And GM to you as well MR. Quake! How are things in NC this morning?

I think it's a good thing for the D line to get a dead last ranking because you know that they will hear about it and it's pretty embarassing to be called the worst so I figure they will be very well motivated to prove that this ranking is not at all justified. If they were ranked 30th it might be easier to brush off, but last is last and these guys could probably use some fire.

Greg Williams has got to be pissed.
