Two words, fellas. VERIZON FIOS! Easily the best service I've had. NFL Network, regular and HD. Tons of HD channels, as a previous poster said, the picture is amazing. Unlike Cable, the HD feeds come uncompressed, thus they look much much better. Satallite is even worse than cable with their compression. If you move from DTV to FIOS, your picture will look like you bought a new television set.

I pay about 100 a month, I get prolly 4-500 channels, 15MBPS down / 2 mpbs up internet, and I'm LOVING it.

Sounds great but until someone other than DirecTV offers the Sunday Ticket I'm stuck with DTV.

does the NFL network get packaged with other sports channels?

yeah, Comcast offers the NFL Network as part of their Sports package, which includes Speed, several Fox Sports Net feeds, Fox Soccer Channel, and a few others...$5 extra a month isn't bad...

I can't wait for FiOS. Once it's offered here in Frederick, I'm jumping all over it.

Obviously, it's tough if you're not in the DC area, Matty.

I've tried them all man...just not a big beer fan. I like those, or I'd drink something a lot stronger.

oh yeah sorry I wasn't thinking about that

Still, I think even if I did live down there I would still want the ticket. I like being able to watch other games that aren't on regular TV.

I just switched to Direct TV too. No more trekking to a bar to watch the skins, and I'll even be able to hear the game! Can't wait!

You're gonna love it. I've had it since they came out with it, and I don't regret it at all! It's a must have for those that don't live in the DC area.
