They could turn that in to an option for the guy (in this case Moss) getting the ball. Maybe they could do that with Randle El. Cooley or Lloyd could possibly get open for a pass once the defense sees whats going on...or he could just run it.

this is a typical al sanders type of play. lot's of trickeration. this stuff works once in a while, like against the texans, or once every other game. i thought he called this stuff too much if you ask me. against the better defenses this stuff serves no purpose.

It looks really complicated, but in the end its no different from any other play in that it will work if its executed properly, and will fail if we can't block the Tennessee DL.

Yeah this played didn't fail because of design but because of poor execution. 3..3! dline penetrate the line and no running play or passing plat for that matter will work. I imagine the tweaks might have helped but I am not sure.

They used the full house backfield against Houston and Randle-El scored an easy TD. Everybdy went right, He went swing pass left and no one covered him. They came back with it later against some team and they were ready for it. I can't remember which game that was in. I think it was a division game.

Also, they ran another reverse a few plays later against Tenessee for big yards.
