we should trade betts and cp for him
Larry Johnson on the trading block?Duffman003 07-11-2007, 10:16 AM we should trade betts and cp for him Chief X_Phackter 07-11-2007, 10:28 AM we should trade betts and cp for him Yeah, there's an upgrade. Let's trade two starters for one. freddyg12 07-11-2007, 10:48 AM for once, a rumor hits the wire & we really don't have to worry about it as we're set at rb. Only concern I have is if he's traded in the nfc. The g-men or the iggles could use him, but only the g-men would pony up the cash he wants. Detroit has just acquired a couple backs - T. Bell & Duckett- otherwise I'd see them as suitors. Green Bay? RB is a position of need for only a few teams really. I don't know that LJ can get the contract he wants. saden1 07-11-2007, 10:54 AM This is old news. I have a funny story about this rumor from last week. About four or five days ago while I was sitting at bar, I had of all people, a Cowboy fan, tell me they had just traded for Larry Johnson in exchange for a second round pick. He swore up and down he heard it on ESPN earlier that day. I responded, dude, no f*ckn way! Not for a second round pick, and not to the Cowboys! So I go, hey, if this is true I'll buy a round of shots for you and your boy "Lurch" (dude was ugly!) So everyone breaks out their BlackBerries (I'm a poor guy, so I don't own one!) and started looking on ESPN for the news.....nothing! I laughed his ass under the bar! I mean, I was loud! I think their thumbs were numb after all that damn scrolling they did. All he could do was start talking trash about how T.O. is better than Moss...blah, blah, blah.... lol...man that guy was dense. Reminds me of this commercial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs1N5NYyb24). dmek25 07-11-2007, 11:28 AM smooty, is that you in the commercial? and 12th, i don't have one either. i just thought it sounded funny dallass-blows 2 07-11-2007, 12:20 PM i heard the cowboys were one team that really wanted him. kind of scary EARTHQUAKE2689 07-11-2007, 12:22 PM LJ is not going anywhere. D'BOYZ 07-11-2007, 12:34 PM First of all LJ isn't going anywhere KC official aren't that dumb. Second for the guys that said trade CP and LB for him COME ON GET REALL do anyboy know something called a CAP you know bett's just got a new contract with a big Signing Bonus and CP still have a few years left of the lofty contract he signed so not only you'll be carring a lot of DEAD MONEY by trading this guys but if you add the type of contract and signing bonus LJ would ask no way he can come, beside with CP and Betts you don't need LJ. now the Dallas rumor same thing there's no way he's comming to dallas 1st why trade what at least would be a high 1st round and other thigns and pay huge money to the guy when we probably have a high 1st round pick because of clevelands trade and we can go after McFadden next draft and get a fresh leg 21 year old back WAYYY CHEAPER. We have contracts commign up of Newman,Ware, Spears, Colombo, Adams, Canty, Romo and others if we want to have them back specially Ware, newman and Romo they ain't gonna come cheap so you can't go out an pay a RB 8 mill per year. gibbsisgod 07-11-2007, 12:35 PM i heard the cowboys were one team that really wanted him. kind of scary If something were to happen, IMO Dallas would be the place for him to go. They already have 2 first round picks in '08. with one of them being from Cleveland it should be pretty high. Sounds like pretty good trade bait to me. saden1 07-11-2007, 04:43 PM It puzzles me why Cowboy fans think so highly on Newman. With they way they talk about him you would think he's a top 5 CB. He is no better than Carlos Rogers and that's not saying much. |
