Wii availability

I'm amazed these things still are not readily available in stores. What the heck is going on with this thing? Is it a production issue? Is Nintendo intentionally holding back to keep demand up?

Seems not too hard to get them anymore around here. Just have to make a few calls and find out when shipments are in. CC gets like 8 and sells out of them in about 2 days now here.

I receive email notifications from circuit city when they come in and they're gone just as quick it seems.

By the time you get those e-m ails they have probably been in the store since last night or something. My boss just called around and found out when the shipment came in. Went to the store and had the guy get one from the back on the day they came in.

i'm in middle of nowhere Mississippi right now, and iphones and wii's aren't hard to get here.

but I bet spittoons and shotguns still fly off the shelf ;)

I got one off Craig's list for less than retail (once you add in the extra controller). I just read that they are anticipating April before you can walk into any store and find one on the shelf.

Pretty crazy...but Nintendo seems to have the whole Supply/Demand thing down pat.

It is - I remember having this conversation here a year ago and thinking Feb/Mar 2007 they would be everywhere.

A year later and they are still hard to find, just crazy
