SERIOUSLY. These are the same people who say they are "glad to be part of the Mac community." I'm totally paraphrasing but I was reading this on some other site and the guy is like, "Part of the Mac community?!?! It isn't a f***king social movement, it's a computer!"
You mean, they're not special? Well crap I always thought the "Mac community" was so much more enlightened and just plain better than everyone else. Oh wait a second, I didn't thuink that, THEY thought that. I get confused about pronouns sometimes.

I am up for a new phone upgrade in august. I use verizon and i'll get it at the discount 2 year agreement price.
I have 0 intention to leave verizon for at&t. HEre is an article about what verizon plans to do to compete Verizon Wireless thumbs its nose at the iPhone | Crave : The gadget blog (http://crave.cnet.com/8301-1_105-9736714-1.html?tag=cnetfd.mt)
Doesn't seem like much to me. Nothing here would sway me towards verizon moreso than the iphone had i had my mind set on the iphone. But the 3g network, wireless music downloads, and TV are all things that are pretty damn cool and aren't on the iphone.

Exactly. They were first to market with a decent product and had most major labels tied up in contracts so people could easily and legally get music. They were exteremly unique in this regard and it is the main reason they have commanded such a large market cap. As for the iPhone I imagine they will be able to use iTunes as leverage similarly but with much less effect. I am dubious that they can penetrate the already ultra-competitive phone market with any great amount of success. They simply have no differentiation, expect for price, and in that regard it is a bad differentiation.
Lately it seems like, more than iTunes, they're really pushing the ability view YouTube videos on the iPhone

I think it was gabe who posted it earlier about buying them. It's not because I'm some PC purist, it's the fact that the people who have them act like they're doing the world a favor by purchasing them and then acting holier than thou to anyone who doesn't have one.

On the news today they interviewed some people who have been in line for 5 days. These people need to get a life. One of the people they interviewed was acting like some big shot because he was first in line. I can see him now in some bar bragging that he purchased one of the first Iphones and as he is showing it off it crashes loosing all his info. I'm sure that will be a chick magnet.
lol...This reminds me of a story I heard at work. Some guy that use to work for us was asked "do you know XYZ technology" and his response was "well, I'm a bit of a guru on that."

Not physically but I'm sure he was mentally sucking himself off.
