palmer can hit the practice squad. I think bramlet can make the #3. campbell and brunell are locks at #1 and #2 though, no way collins stays.

While I like Bramlett, he won't make the squad. Campbell, Brunell, Palmer.

I would take Bramlet over Palmer ANY day. IMO, Palmer if here will be pratice squad.

Bramlet looked great in the World Bowl - poised, mobile, crisp on his passes and really accurate on the deep throws. Of course, he wasn't facing NFL-level competition, but I think he would be a good 3rd QB for the Skins. And he would bring in the prospect of developing into a solid number 2 behind Campbell, once Brunell finally retires.

If Brunell is healthy, which it looks like he is, Collins will be gone. Even though Saunders loves Collins, Brunell has playoff experience as a starter. He stays as the number 2. Palmer makes the practice squad. Bramlet comes in as the number three.

Is this the Doug Flutie syndrome? (IE: can kick ass vs inferior talent, but when the NFL comes calling he sucks)

I'm not high on Collins, so I say why not for #3, but I feel Collins will stay for his knowledge of the system. Wishful thinking anyway.

Well, one thing in regards to Doug Flutie is the age that he came to the NFL from the CFL. I don't believe he necessarily sucked when he came to the NFL, but certainly he wasn't going to be nearly the dominate QB that he was in the CFL. That could have also contributed to his age.

Before anyone gets overly excited about Bramlet, just remember the name JT O'Sullivan. He's a perennial star over in NFL Europe. But he's never made a dent in the NFL.

What do you mean he wasn't given a chance? He was the starter for the Bills and Chargers. Also, if he was THAT good, he would have had MANY more starts.
So again I say...he was AMAZING in the CFL and nothing in the NFL.
He wasn't good in the NFL, he was average...he was ALL FREAKIN WORLD in the CFL. He was so good, he became the first American to be voted into the Canadian Hall of Fame.

The guy overachieved for a player of his size, made a pro-bowl, and started for a few years for a few teams. Maybe not amazing, but FAR from nothing.

Gotta disagree. Brameltt has been playing pro football (albeit overseas) at a high level for a couple seasons now. Based on proven experience Bramlett makes it as #3, Palmer on the practice squad.

Bramlet will be coming to camp already behind as far as the offense goes. Yes he's had some valuable playing time over in NFLE, but he'll have some catching up to do now. If the rumors of the Skins only keeping one veteran backup are true, you'd have to think that Brunell will be safe over Collins and the #3 job will be up for grabs. Still, I'm not getting too excited over what Bramlet did in NFLE. NFLE does not = NFL.
