For all the ire that the Redskins draw from the mainstream media, I found myself mulling over this concept following Nick Barnett's arrest (http://www.packersnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070617/GPG020801/70617023/1989).
We can credit Gibbs for being very careful to draft only the highest quality of character guys, but in today's NFL, how rare is it to go 2+ years without a player getting in trouble with the law (Since ST's run in)?
We may be the model citizens of the NFL.
Just some food for thought as the work week begins.

I think it's a definite bonus that we have the majority of our players have shown class off the field. Strong character especially helps, unfortunately, when you go through a tough season off the field like the Redskins endured last season.
However, I think there are a lot of teams that can make that claim really.

now if only our players can not shoot each other in the sack then we would be perfect.http://www.thewarpath.net/images/icons/icon10.gif

We will never be considered class until we start winning games consistantly.

I do agree that we have pretty upstanding players on our team, but I can say that there are a lot of teams that haven't had players in trouble for 2 + years, so I really don't think that is to unusual.

All that said, we do have a lot of guys that need to grow up. Clinton needs to not share his opinions so much. It usually tends to backfire on him. (I do hope the costumes come back this year though). Smoot needs to stay landlocked. B. Lloyd needs to act like an adult (by the way, I hear he's been great attitude wise this off-season)

Now if he can keep that up for the regular season we should be fine. Brandon Lloydneeds to step it up this year. Another performance like last year will NOT cut it. I want the 2005 Brandon Lloyd.

I don't know if we are the "classiest" team in the NFL. I guess it depends on your definition of classy. But we certainly aren't on Roger Goodell's radar, which is a good thing. I love that our guys stay on the right side of the law. But we really shouldn't applaud that. Has anyone at any of your jobs applauded you for NOT getting arrested for doing stupid shit? These guys are adults, make a ton of money, and are in the public eye representing 52 other players and an entire organization. They should be grateful with their physical/financial blessings and act accordingly. I'm not gonna applaud anyone for doing what normal society expects.

That "finally someone said it" line reminded me of Jay Mohr in Jerry McGuire after Jerry writes his mission statement. LOL
