I am on my second Mac and and I love it. I am not going to argue with anyone who is a computer programmer by trade, other than to say you guys don't know what you are talking about.

Just kidding. But I chose mac primarily because of its advantages with audio and visual production. I like to mess around with electronic music production and I can assure you that there isn't a single succesful DJ in the world who uses anything other than MAC.

So I guess it comes down to what you are looking for.

It is noticeably faster. So far no problems, it is a beta version though. I like it.

Careful, you're exposing yourself to a whole lot of exploits with Safari (http://blog.wired.com/monkeybites/2007/06/safari_for_wind.html).

Edit: The speed results you're referring to are marketing material (http://news.softpedia.com/newsImage/Internet-Explorer-7-vs-Firefox-2-0-vs-Opera-9-vs-Safari-3-0-3.png) put out by Apple. Reality differs (http://blog.wired.com/monkeybites/2007/06/wired_news_benc.html) however.

well, so far I really like it. And although those web sites say it is slower, it doesn't seem slower to me at all. So, I think I made a good purchase.
