I agree..somewhat. Trent Green looked like a$$ when he came back from his bumped noggin injury with one of the game's best running backs and tight ends, not to mention one of the top rated O-lines. Sorry, but it will take a lot more to scare me than the name Trent Green. I see an embarrassing blowout for the Skins: 35 - 3.

And going by last year's "Brad Johnson did it" is no reason to think it will happen again. The Skins beat themselves in that game more so than the Vikings. Also, I'm sure it's fresh in some of those players minds that they f'ed up that game. In a word: redemption

I think barring no injuries we will win 28-6. It will be a statement game for the skins to their fans. This year will be different. The defense doesn't let a touchdown occur and Trent Green gets blown up on Laron Landry Safety Blitz taken out in the second quarter

I wanna wait to make any calls on a score, atleast until training camp. Injuries do happen.

The team should win, but I am not ready to say by how much.

I see Saunders being able to point out every tendency Trent Green has to Greg Williams before the game. Green will be a little shaky in the new offense and will rely on his instincts. This gives us an advantage. Saunders offense will have changed enough over two years that Green won't be able to tell the Fins much about what to expect. That is a big advantage for us. With that said, the Fins defense is stout and I don't expect them to give up 30 points. I expect that we can put up 20+ points and hold them under 17.

This is true, but our defense is vastly fragile right now and we dont know how well Fletcher, Landry, and the rest will mesh together. I am excited to see but I am also worried. Will Shawn Springs be 100% throughtout the season like in 2004 when he lead the team in interceptions and sacks. Or will he be the 2006 Shawn Springs who couldn't sat healthy and who couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. We don't know what we are getting right now. We are hoping for the best but hoping will only get you so far if you know what I mean. So we will basically have to wait and see how well we stack up. If after four quarters we are leading the Dolphins then we stack up well. On the other hand, if we are losing after four quarters then we don't. And remember the Redskins always seem to lose games they are supposed to win like the Titans game last year. And since the year 2000 no other team has had more losses by 6 or fewer points than our Washington Redskins. So it has to be a wait and see game. We could be suprised or we could be dissapointed. Either way I think I speak for eveyone here when I say that we are excited to say the least.

Depending on injuries up to that point, the game could go either way IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if we lost that game considering that we will have some new faces on the field for the first time in a real game situation. Who knows how Wade will hold up at the guard spot and JC may have some jitters cuz it'll be his first NFL season opener. Will our revamped secondary and linebacking corps have gelled together by then? Doubtful. Still Miami isn't the strongest of opponents so thats why i say its a toss-up.

As of June 9th of the pre- pre season, I truely believe the skins will win this opening game. If jason misfires as it were we can still rely on our great backfield tandem. JC is a winner and if AL'S vaunted offense comes to fruition like past stats prove, we'll be in good shape . As far as "d" is concerned the league dosen't know whats gonna hit'em in the mouth if we can stay healthy 23-17 skinz in not that close a game...

I am still skeptical because I was expecting a rout of Minesota and Dallas in the first 2 opening games and I was let down. So I don't know.
