The pats organization has a tendency to let players go as if to suggest that they don't need to play some of their quality guys. If they don't lock up samuel like they should have at the end of the season, this situation is going to blow up in their face. They are in a damned if u do damned if u don't kinda situation and they have no one to blame but themselves. dmek25 06-05-2007, 09:40 PM i was watching NFL live, and John Clayton said the chances of this happening are slim to none. and really a non issue to redskin fans EARTHQUAKE2689 06-05-2007, 09:44 PM i was watching NFL live, and John Clayton said the chances of this happening are slim to none. and really a non issue to redskin fans i know just found it funny djnemo65 06-05-2007, 10:16 PM The thing is, New England has been right on everything. McGinnis has slipped, Patton and Givins haven't really panned out as free agents, Branch was worth that first round pick and more. They brought Harrison in who played better than Lawyer Milloy. Even the kid who replaced Viniateri was solid last year, and played at a fraction of the price. Am I forgetting anyone? I don't always get their frugality given their huge revenue and market share, but they do always seem to make the right call. And when you draft as well as they do you can afford to screw over your veterans. EARTHQUAKE2689 06-05-2007, 10:29 PM while that is true asante samuel is only 25 not and only a 4 year vet. he is still in his prime hooskins 06-05-2007, 10:52 PM Yeah on NFL Live they are saying this is all talk. Because of some new rule change if he does that(sit out till wk 10), then he will actually be giving money to NE. skinsfan69 06-06-2007, 04:00 PM The thing is, New England has been right on everything. And when you draft as well as they do you can afford to screw over your veterans. You are correct. But AS is a young corner coming off a year in which he picked off 10 passes. They could be making a mistake on this one. But I doubt he's going to leave all that $ on the table. MTK 06-06-2007, 04:03 PM Wow, I didn't realize teams other than the Redskins have problems. TheMalcolmConnection 06-06-2007, 04:05 PM Here's my thing about Samuel. Had anyone hear of him prior to last year? I know I hadn't. |
