I wouldn't bother with Briggs at this point. We seems to be pretty set at LB, we're hearing good things about Rocky, let's use that money elsewhere.

like on schobel if they let him go? hey matty, any word on what buffalo wants for him

I'm not sure it's a good idea putting much faith in what the players say about McIntosh. I seem to remember the players thinking Taylor Jacobs was the next Jerry Rice. Let's wait till we see something on the field before voting him to the Pro Bowl. :)

what do the faithful around here think about getting briggs for as low as a 4th round pick?

I personally have been VERY happy with the Skins personnel moves in the off-season. I would like them to continue with their current trend of fiscal responsibility, until the Dead money is less of a factor.
Hope that Rocky IS the real deal. Continue to glean a diamond in the rough when possible, always keeping an eye out for the errant bargain. Hang on to a full boat of draft picks. Save the BIG money deals to lock up our "home grown" boys.

I'm not looking for him to be a pro-bowler. If he is, well then - good on'ya mate. I would like him to be something more than a turnstile which is what Holdman seemed to be most of last year. (How many tackles did he have? I just don't remember his name being called much).

But you're right, OTA's and mini-camp are far removed from game day. Let's all hope Rocky is not the second coming of Mr. Softie ("Omigawd - they're playing defense, how am i supposed to get open if they play defense?!?!? Ouch, my leg hurts, I must have a concussion.")

Nobody is putting him in the Pro Bowl, but my thought is let's at least give him a shot vs. running out and paying big $$ to someone like Briggs when we might have a perfectly capable LB under our noses.

Yup. I have to say, this offseason has been pretty satisfying to say the least. Aside from getting a DE either in the draft or FA, I'm pretty happy with how things have gone with the limited amount of draft picks and cap space.
