I especially like the last paragraph.. Makes the F.O. recent decisions look pretty good!
" team like the Redskins may be sitting in the middle of the pack in the NFC, but if injuries become a critical factor around the league, Washington has a very good chance of surviving. Quarterback Mark Brunell, running back Ladell Betts, wide receiver Antwaan Randle El, offensive tackle Jason Fabini, guard/center Ross Tucker, defensive end Renaldo Wynn, defensive tackle Joe Salave'a, cornerback Fred Smoot, safety Pierson Prioleau and linebacker Lemar Marshall make up an impressive group of nonstarters on the team's roster. I can't agree that all above are non-starters. But anyway, that's a real suprise......and no GM and the front office still looks pretty good.....WOW
Maybe they won't just overlook us completely this year, so when we come out of the gates hittin on eight, they will same they predicted us to do well?

Yeah Smoot and Marshall can yet be starters and Betts is going to get a fair amount of carries(maybe 30-40% I would imagine). IF JC went down and Brunell took over, lights out for our 2007 season.

That and our "starters" all depends on what kind of formation we or the opposing offense start the game in. But unlike last year I think our depth is one of our biggest strengths, with being able to rotate players in and out w/o a steep drop off in performance, keeping players more fresh.

30-40% No way. CP won't be having that. Brunell could fill in for a game or two but if JC goes down for the year, we will have no chance.

I love the skins, but I do not like it when the press starts crediting our team. Our team buys into the hype. They are the underdog and need to stay the underdog. As far as I am concerned I want the prees to hate on us when we are winning too. This wagon is for true fans only.

We'll lose every game Brunell plays. Count on it.

I think we can't live on too high expectations. That's dangerous in recent history....
