hondakiller 05-20-2007, 07:33 AM snip...How many 300 yard games did Ramsey, Brunell, or even JC have? Gus had plenty, especially against the Cards, and didn't have the tools like MB or JC have now at their disposal. snip...
plenty = 1? just sayin..
EARTHQUAKE2689 05-20-2007, 09:03 AM the source is skinsfan242. but i hear what he is saying. if last season wasn't enough to embarrass everyone in the skins organization, from top to bottom, then i don't think anything can motivate these guys
you are pretty much right on with that dmek
EARTHQUAKE2689 05-20-2007, 09:06 AM Another problem everyone is overlooking is the team chemistry aspect of it. Can you get 43 guys to gel and come together to act as two cohesive units(offens and defense) We have gobs of talent on offense, but they stink, with the execption of our runnning game. We have a potential disaster with 3 star WR's who will want the ball often, etc. I remember poor Dante Culpepper in the early days at Minnesota, having Chris Carter and Moss bitching at him often. I mean look at the Norv teams of the mid 90's. All we had really was Ken Harvey and Darrell Green. Big Daddy and Stubblefield were OK for like 2 s easons, but then faded. We had Gus, Westbrook, Connell, and an old Terry Allen, on offense. Those guys were not as talented as this crew, but did perform much better. How many 300 yard games did Ramsey, Brunell, or even JC have? Gus had plenty, especially against the Cards, and didn't have the tools like MB or JC have now at their disposal. Could you imagine what Gus would have done if he had Santana, Cooley, and Randle El? We would have made the playoffs for a few more years under Norv for sure.
it is 22 guys play offense and defense and the team has 53 total and what are you talking about how many playoff games did gus ferotte win for us
12thMan 05-20-2007, 10:07 AM I think it's a given that our season pretty much hinges on JC's success. Unless he completely falls apart, which I don't see happening, there's no major QB crisis in sight for the Redskins. If JC stays healthy, we're set for a long time. Plain and simple.
This kid, essentially, jumped from third string to starting last year and was more than decent on numerous occasions. And by all account so far this year, he has his eye on the prize.
While I'm at, I might as well go on the record and say I think the Skins will go no less than 10-6 this year, 11-5 is within reach.

i think a 12-4 season is in sight and if we can beat new england and get at least one against philly and sweep dallas i see no reason we cant get a 13-3 maybe
CHIEF CHUCKING MY SPEAR 05-20-2007, 11:03 AM when is the last time this team overachieved?

Yeah, and if we can just win every game, i see no reason why we cant go 16-0
SmootSmack 05-20-2007, 12:19 PM when is the last time this team overachieved?
2005 most were predicting us at 4-12, 5-11 right?
LMsexyAO 05-20-2007, 12:45 PM One bad season does a lot to a fan's psyche.
Salisbury is still a tool for his trash talking during the 2005 season. He couldn't even man up and follow through with his naked walk from NY to DC. What a loser.
