they were interested in him until they drafted the best return man in the draft in devin hester, are is not a solid wr by any means. The only hope we have in adding additional depth for the line will be after the june first cuts.

What Brown wants and what he get's are two different things. Chicago has way to many issues at hand, I think he will be staying right where he's at.

He's under contract.

Alex Brown said that the deal was practically done with another team. The Bears got the compensation they wanted, but the team couldn't please him with a contract so it fell through. They want a 1st or 2nd for him and he wants a huge contract, while I'd like an Alex Brown on the team, he'd be too pricey.

Forget Brown, it not happening. Not so sure the BRIGGS thing is over?

ESPN.com: No contract, no minicamp for Bears LB Briggs (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2873882)

No way should we get him, people talk about Carter being undersized, well Brown is 5 lbs lighter and 1 inch shorter. They are the same age, and Carter's stats are significantly better, and he played with worse talent to support him. We would probably have to give Brown a contract about the size of Carters and have to give up a first day draft pick.

Quake, I have ZERO clue what's running through there minds, or how much they would be willing to give up? I wouldn't rule anything out.

If I had to guess it would be a low round draft pick next year and possibly a contract, I don't think we would come off players, but that's anyone's guess? They MIGHT not get much use outta him, by the way it looks.

We are talking a multi year, young pro-bowl LB, it's not gonna come cheap, and only a few people.....and you know who they are, know if this thing is thing still doable. IMO, I think there is a fairly good chance he could still land in DC.

if we can give them a low round pick i would be happy cause we have already agreed in principle on a contract extension and if we get him i wouldnt mind giveing up marshall now
