NFL looking to reduce time between draft picksEARTHQUAKE2689 05-18-2007, 08:47 AM My thoughts exactly. no keep it i love it the way it is MTK 05-18-2007, 10:17 AM Let's face it, with the amount of preparation that goes into the draft, teams don't need 15 minutes to sit there and field phone calls for trades that rarely happen anyway. Besides, teams already have a pretty good idea going into a draft of potential trades, I highly doubt that on draft day something comes completely out of the blue. It might happen once in a great while, but generally I think teams already have the framework of deals in place prior to the draft. I'd love the draft starting in prime time on a Friday night. firstdown 05-18-2007, 10:43 AM I like the idea of 10 and 5. I think you could go 5 and 2 if you gave each team 2 10 minute "timeouts" to make a trade or argue or whatever. This would also juice up the broadcast by giving commentators something else to criticize. Salisbury: "Why on Earth would they use their T.O. now? Everyone knows they're going to take..." While we're on the subject of feedback, I can't tell you how encouraging it is to find out that they think Brunell is still our starting QB up there. Thank God for the Warpath, because if I had to get my Redskins info from ESPN and the Post I would be in big trouble, no offense to you personally. Who on ESPN thinks Brunell is our starter? EARTHQUAKE2689 05-18-2007, 11:14 AM Who on ESPN thinks Brunell is our starter? a dumb jackass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SmootSmack 05-18-2007, 11:19 AM a dumb jackass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one actually thinks Brunell is the starter at ESPN. EARTHQUAKE2689 05-18-2007, 11:20 AM No one actually thinks Brunell is the starter at ESPN. i withdraw my last statement SmootSmack 05-18-2007, 11:21 AM Let's face it, with the amount of preparation that goes into the draft, teams don't need 15 minutes to sit there and field phone calls for trades that rarely happen anyway. A Friday night start would be really tough for us. EARTHQUAKE2689 05-18-2007, 11:23 AM A Friday night start would be really tough for us. that is obvious SmootSmack 05-18-2007, 11:26 AM that is obvious Didn't realize it was so obvious, but cool MTK 05-18-2007, 11:26 AM I guess it's not obvious for me, why would it be tough, SS? |
