Trade Sean Taylor?

Something occurred to me while reading Sally Jenkins' piece in the Post about Taylor and Springs? Why don't we trade Taylor? He is obviously disgruntled and wants a new contract. He doesn't show for OTA's and doesn't give any explanation. He didn't play that well last year, despite his physical talent. We could get good value for him, I would think. We could plug Landry in at FS, then maybe Springs at SS (or Prioleau or Fox or Stoutmire). I know that he has a lot of supporters, but is it time to move him now before he gets even more disgruntled? Is he a Pac-Man waiting to happen?

I really think this is as about as bad an idea as a jump-to-conclusions mat. What is the cap hit? We we really weaken our secondary, and who would we trade him to and for what?

You're going to get a lot of backlash for bringing this topic up. Mainly because it's been discussed already.

Also, the cap ramifications of trading Sean Taylor would be deadly. Even for us. Something along the lines of a $4 million hit I believe. For more info on that, see here: http://www.thewarpath.net/WarpathRedskinsCap.htm

Anyhow, to save you from yourself I am going to lock this thread. If you want to discuss your idea within the Sally Jenkins thread that's your prerogative but I doubt you'll get much support there either.
